Syllabus overview

- Reasoning: verbal and visual puzzles.
- Numbers and algebra: number systems, identities, polynomials, two-variable linear equations, and sequences.
- Geometry: Euclidean ideas, lines and angles, triangles, quadrilaterals, circles, and constructions.
- Measurement and data: perimeter, area, surface area, volume, statistics, and introductory probability.
- Everyday mathematics and higher-order problems draw on the mathematics areas above.
Level 1 exam pattern
SOF lists 50 questions and 60 marks in 60 minutes for this class.
- Logical reasoning: 15 questions, 15 marks
- Mathematical reasoning: 20 questions, 20 marks
- Everyday mathematics: 10 questions, 10 marks
- Achievers section: 5 questions, 15 marks
SOF says Level 1 draws 60% of questions from the current class and 40% from the previous class. Check SOF’s page for its Level 2 pattern and any changes.
